Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 16, 2026
VibeDeck is a real-time party app: a host controls the music through Apple Music, and guests join a party room to add tracks and vote on what plays next. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. We keep it minimal on purpose — VibeDeck works without knowing who you are.
01Who We Are
VibeDeck is operated by Flux and Form ("we," "us," or "our"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@fluxandform.io.
02Information We Collect
We keep data to a minimum. Here's what we collect and why:
- A nickname you choose. When you join a party as a guest, the name you enter is shown to others in the room. Use whatever you like — it doesn't have to be your real name.
- Party activity. The tracks you add, the votes you cast, and your in-app "vibe" balance are stored so the queue and scores stay in sync for everyone in the room.
- A random device identifier. VibeDeck creates a random identifier for your device, shared between the full app and its App Clip. We send it to our own servers to understand how VibeDeck spreads — for instance, whether someone who joined a party as a guest later hosts their own. It isn't linked to your name, email, or any personal identity. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to track you across other apps or websites. Guests are also issued a random reconnect token (stored securely on their device) so they can rejoin the same party if they drop off.
- A one-time purchase (optional, hosts only). A host can make a single in-app purchase to unlock premium features. Payment is processed entirely by Apple — we never see or store your card or payment details. Our servers keep a record that your device unlocked the upgrade (a transaction identifier from Apple and the price you were shown), used to validate the purchase, restore it on your devices, and prevent fraud. This record is tied to your random device identifier, not to your personal identity.
- Reports of objectionable content. If someone reports a nickname, a queued track, or a party, we store a copy of what was reported — the nickname or track title as it appeared — along with the random identifiers of the people involved and the room it happened in. We keep the copy because without it there is nothing left to review once the party ends. It's used only to review the report and act on it.
- Basic technical logs. Like most online services, our servers record standard connection information to keep the service running, secure, and debuggable.
We do not ask for or collect your email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location. Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment card details. VibeDeck has no user accounts for guests.
03Apple Music
Music playback and catalog search are powered by Apple Music (MusicKit). A host connects their own Apple Music account through Apple's native authorization — VibeDeck never sees or stores your Apple ID, password, or Apple Music credentials. Your use of Apple Music through the app is also governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
04How We Use Your Information
We use the limited data above only to:
- Run live party rooms and keep the queue, votes, and scores in sync.
- Let guests rejoin a party they were already part of.
- Understand how VibeDeck grows — such as whether guests go on to host their own parties — using the anonymous device identifier, analyzed in aggregate.
- Validate and restore in-app purchases, and keep the premium unlock in sync across your devices.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Review reports of objectionable content and act on them — removing content, or removing a guest from a party.
- Diagnose and fix technical problems.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build advertising profiles. VibeDeck shows no ads.
05How Long We Keep It
Live party data is short-lived. When a party ends, its room, queue, and votes are cleared, and guest reconnect tokens expire automatically after a short period (currently 14 days) if unused.
To understand how VibeDeck grows over time, we keep a limited, anonymized record of past parties — such as the tracks that played and the random device identifier described above, with no nicknames or personal details. We keep these records for up to 12 months, after which they're aggregated into anonymous statistics or deleted. Deleting your host data also removes this identifier.
Reports are kept separately from the records above, and deliberately outlive the party they were filed in — a report you can no longer read is a report nobody can act on. We keep them for up to 12 months so we can review them, act on them, and recognize repeat behavior, after which they are deleted.
Purchase records (the Apple transaction identifier and the price you were shown) are kept while the unlock is active, plus any period required for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention — separate from the 12-month analytics window above.
06Service Providers
We use trusted third-party infrastructure to operate VibeDeck — for example, cloud hosting and database providers that store party data on our behalf. These providers process data only to run the service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
07Children
VibeDeck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
08Your Choices
Because guests don't create accounts, VibeDeck holds very little that identifies you. You can leave a party at any time, and live party data is cleared when the party ends. A host can delete their data from the app, which also erases their stored party history on our servers. For any request regarding data associated with your device, email us at support@fluxandform.io.
If you see something objectionable in a party, you can report it from inside the app — press and hold a nickname or a queued track, or use "Report This Room" in session settings. Reports reach a real person and we review them within 24 hours. You can also email support@fluxandform.io directly.
09Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
